Receiving broadcasts#
Before connecting to other Supply-Side Platforms or Demand-Side Platforms it is crucial to find them in the network.
At least every 24 hours, all Supply-Side Platforms and Demand-Side Platforms are expected to broadcast their Platform Metadata using ADS Blockchain.
This implies that if a Supply-Side Platform or a Demand-Side Platform wants to collect information about other Supply-Side Platforms or Demand-Side Platforms, it needs to check every block created within the last 24 hours for the presence of a URL.
Then, each URL needs to be verified if it actually points to valid Platform Metadata.
Platform Metadata is structured according to Metadata Format.
In the Metadata Format, the most important fields include:
supplyInventoryUrl
- pointing to the current Supply-Side Inventory of a Supply-Side PlatformdemandInventoryUrl
- pointing to the current Demand-Side Inventory of a Demand-Side Platform
Another important field is adsAddress
, as it defines the ADS Account address of a given
Supply-Side Platform or Demand-Side Platform.
